During high school, Biology was one of her favorite classes—in particular, learning about human body systems made her realize that she wanted to pursue this field of study to a greater depth in post-secondary studies. Hannah wants to pursue a minor in Humanities and English, as she has always found reading books enjoyable. Hannah feels that a minor in Humanities and English will help her become a more well-rounded individual and provide contrast to her STEM major. Hannah has volunteered with numerous organizations in the past, such as her role of Day Camp Leader with the City of Calgary and as a Humane Society volunteer. Currently, Hannah volunteers to play piano for nursing home residents. During her high school years, she was highly involved in her school community as both an athlete and musician. She was a part of the Dr. E.P. Scarlett Music Program in the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band, where she regularly played the flute for performances. Hannah was also member of the Cross-country Team and even competed in provincials in grade ten. She was also involved with the Leadership Program, in which she was responsible for planning school-wide events such as Culture Week and Terry Fox Day. In her spare time, Hannah loves to unwind with a book and a cup of coffee or go on early-morning runs.
