A course that sparked Manvi’s interest in her specialization was an introductory biology course that explored the regulation of cell proliferation, and cell-cells interactions. Manvi was fascinated by the workings of the body on a smaller scale, and as a third year student, she is excited to learn and apply the skills of her degree, and ultimately dreams of contributing to the world of medicine in a meaningful way. Outside of academics, Manvi enjoys exploring university life through extracurriculars. To date, Manvi has participated in university clubs such as the UCalgary Rotaract Club which engages students in humanitarian and leadership events, and the UCalgary COUHR Club, which presents under-represented, and underserved undergraduate students with the opportunity to participate in health research. Manvi is also an ambassador for STEM Fellowship, which is an organization that encourages and supports students pursuing careers in STEM fields through workshops, competitions, and scholarly journal publications. Outside of university, Manvi volunteers at a local seniors home, and at the university-affiliated hospital. If not studying or volunteering you can find Manvi baking!
